An Opera at sea. The summer of 2021 the production “de Schipbreuk” (the shipwreck) set out to perform across the Waddenzee off the coast of the Netherlands. It was a great joy to yet again be able to dive into theatre, music, being with people and playing with different locations.
Behind is a multidiciplinary performance that took place at the old jail `Het Wolvenplein`in Utrecht in June 2018. It was an interactive concert about freedom whith performances by several partners such as: Amnesy International, writers Adrianne Dercksen, Cherry Poppina, Abdulaal Hussein, Games 4 Diversity and Kamerkoor Venus.
`Welcome Home` an inter disciplinary concert route, where the art and the audience meet each other in the local homes of Norheimsund. A co production between GJEVT and the festival Hardingtonar.
In the spring of 2016 the concert/performance "Van de Hoge" was performed with Kamerkoor Venus in swimming pool De Kwakel. It was a wet and fabulous experience!
In September 2016 Maike directed and produced a performance in collaboration with the Centraal Museum of Utrecht in the expo "Trots van de Stad"
GJEVT is a cooperation between singer Anne Cathrine Eiken and director Maike Flick that focuses on concert experienses on unique locations.
Their first project was a christmas concert on a mountain overlooking a Fjord in Norway in 2014.
In 2016 they made the `Jul i Skogen` concert; a walk in the woods to an open cave and bonfire for a Christmas concert in the woods.
Starting September 2016 they are also cooperating with the "Hardingtonar" festival in Hardanger Norway.
